Introduction: I specialize in bringing students up to grade level and beyond in English phonics, grammar, vocabulary, writing, spelling and reading comprehension. I also tutor basic math, pre-algebra, and algebra. I offer tutoring in study skills at all grade levels. My students range in age from kindergarten through high school.
Instilling knowledge and confidence in a student's ability to master reading, writing, or math skills is my main focus. I have a large collection of materials to choose from to tailor a specific program for each child. I have had a successful tutoring business for the past 15 years.

Laura has tutored my two boys writing/reading in the summer and during the school year for about 3 yrs now. She's a wonderful tutor; always on time, organized, very patient and attentive with the students, and most importantly, knowledgeable in her subjects. She shows up with teaching materials, gives them lessons and corrects their work. Periodically she gives me feedback on their progress. My boys have done very well in school, and enjoy writing. One additional note, my boys tell me that her phone never rings during lesson, she turns it off so there'll be no interruption during lesson. That impresses me.

We have known Laura for more than ten years. She came highly recommended by a friend. Her son was able to read because of Lauras teaching. Laura tutored my son from 2nd grade to 8th grade on reading comprehension and social studies. Laura is always on time and prepared. She is also very flexible and adaptable according to my sons needs and learning style because she always has her students best interest in mind. We are very lucky to have her as my sons tutor and to have her now as family friend.
