Introduction: I have my BA in music Ed and my MS in Educational Technology. I have students who play for fun, and those auditioning for AGT and broadway. I teach: piano, voice, guitar, theory and composition. I have enormous respect for the artist within all my students no matter what their age. I expect a lot and offer a lot! Desire and motivation are the gifts we share. I teach at my home in Tarzana. Once a 4 or 8 week package is purchased, I allow students to come as little or often as desired. The first 2 lessons should be consecutive if possible. Four and eight week packages are offered. Lessons include playing, composing and recording. Group lessons are also offered. Come and be motivated and inspired!

Sue Jarvis is an outstanding music teacher! Not only does she provide superior instruction for students of all ages, she does a super job personalizing her teaching and coaching to the individual student. I have been taking lessons for almost 8 years with Sue Jarvis in New Jersey. She has taken me from never ever playing the piano two now reading and playing music like I have never done before. I will never be a grand pianist, but I have so enjoyed learning the piano . I enjoy my lessons with her, which they are on zoom now since she moved to California. She is informative, Always gives me a lot of information to practice and enjoyable to work with. I think her very much for all I have learned on the piano. If I have any questions, she is always there to answer them and stay in touch with me. I would highly recommend her as a music teacher for any age Cynthia M

As an adult student, I lacked the confidence about being able to learn the piano at my age. But Sue's patience and fun teaching style put me at ease. She tailored the lessons and practice sessions to my needs, and soon I was enjoying myself and learning how to play the piano. Sadly, Sue moved to the West Coast, but she is an expert in virtual teaching, and I plan to resume classes with her soon. Because of her vast experience, Sue creates individualized lessons for her students. Her passion for teaching and her love for her students make Sue an invaluable teacher.

I allow my students to take lessons once or twice a month, as long as they buy a 4 or 8 week package.

I enjoy meeting your goals wether you are interested in performing ( I prepare you for auditions for Americas Got Talent, musicals, party performance etc.) or just love to learn and play.

I am a public school music teacher in Upper Saddle River. I teach privately in my home in: voice, piano, guitar, theory, composition and Garage Band recording.
