Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. It's not just about price any more. Before you have any one work on your computer or your network, ask questions about the provider's background, training, certifications, length of time providing services, licensing, insurance, and most of all, references.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Almost no antivirus software can keep you safe on the internet. People get tricked into clicking on links that look like whatever they were looking for, but get an infected PC instead. It's especially true of alleged celebrity gossip and driver download sites. Be careful out there.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Before you have any one work on your computer or your network, ask questions about the provider's background, training, certifications, length of time providing services, licensing, insurance, and most of all, references. Also, do they have a website? Is it informative?

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Do you really want to unplug everything and cart it into town only to be told 'it works fine in the shop'? I can save you from that.
