- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Through evolution...of sorts. I started in 1976 as a Musician and a Radio DJ. From there, I became a Club & Karaoke DJ. In 1994, I started DJing Weddings and from there brought in my other interests, such as Videography & Photography. I have personally performed over 1700 events and became a Planner in 2009, having been involved in all phases.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of jobs Energy Events performs in DJ & Photography. We logged-in just over 100 DJ events and 56 Photography events in 2013.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
What you should look for in a Wedding Disc Jockey? THE RIGHT FIT. Does the DJ compliment your tone for the Reception? Is the DJ well suited for the environment in which he/she will perform? Is the DJ familiar with the type or style of music you want and will play it? THE RIGHT TYPE. Does the DJ have at least 3 years of experience performing as a Wedding DJ? Is the DJ an experienced Master of Ceremonies that can help you plan your Reception? Will the DJ use professional equipment, provide dance floor lighting and have back-ups in case of problems? THE RIGHT PRICE. Does the DJ offer you free & unlimited consultation? Are the DJ's rates available online so you can compare prices? Will the DJ give you a guaranteed quote?
