Introduction: I am mature, reliable, and have many years of working with students who have gone on to successful college, and post college study. I estimate that I have read well over 250,000 essays in my teaching career! I understand to start where the students are by offering some simple assessements and I follow up with a written report to the client when the tutoring sessions have been completed. My students set goals for themselves, and I establish clear guidelines to achieve the goals. I am well-versed in actual writing skills and have helped hundreds of students become critical thinkers and express these ideas in cogent and well-presented written work. I actually affect change in student writing by paying attention to preparation, structure, revision, and time management. Students actually learn to apply writing strategies and techniques which can be applied across content areas.
