Introduction: Hello! My name is Carson, I am an accomplished drummer & music educator in the Southern California region. I work as a professional musician, drum teacher, and drum transcriber. Since first picking up drum sticks 20 years ago, my drive to be a life-long learner has allowed me to earn performance degrees from MacEwan University (BMus, 2017) and Calarts (MFA Jazz, 2019). I'm grateful to perform with some of LA's finest musicians through various settings, and to teach some really awesome students at all levels!
As an educator, I know firsthand the critical role a good teacher can play in unlocking the fun and potential in each student who wants to fall in love with music.
Notably, through his time as a Drumeo transcriber, I've amassed 500+ note-for-note accurate drum transcriptions to popular songs of all difficulty levels. Many I enjoy using for teaching!

It’s been awesome learning the conga drums with Carson. It has been a slow process for me and he has been very patient and kind. He is super knowledgeable and has provided me with tools/guidance to be successful. I would recommend Carson to anyone wanting drum lessons!

My son has been taking drum lessons with Carson for about a year now and we are very happy with his progress. He looks forward to his lessons weekly and was super excited to participate in the Spring Recital this year. Carson is very patient, understanding, and knows how to motivate him so that he can continue to grow musically. We are very happy to have him as an instructor.

Only wonderful things to say about Carson. He was very professional, friendly, and encouraging to our kids during the lessons. He is an excellent teacher. He always provided a clear lesson plan with assignments. I strongly recommend him!
