Introduction: Founded in 1993 at the Van Nuys Airport (VNY), Group 3 Aviation is an FAA-approved, Part 141 flight training facility and Part 135 helicopter charter service, with Part 133 external load certification by FAA. Group 3 Aviation is VA approved for GI education benefits and SEVIS approved for M-1 visa students. It is also an FAA-designated computer testing center. The company is a member of Helicopter Association International, PHPA, AOPA, The Alaska Airmen's Association, Whirly-Girls International, LA INC, U.S. Travel Association. Many promise a low price - but also fall short in terms of quality and professionalism. Most do not offer what they advertise. When Group 3 Aviation says your flight will be 30 minutes - then that's what you'll get along with a unique and memorable flight experience! Just make sure you receive what you pay for. With our helicopter tours - you will depart from Van Nuys Airport as soon as you are airborne you will immediately start to see what makes Los Angeles very unique. Our pilots all have thousands of hours of flight time and offer informative information about Los Angeles. Make sure you are not departing from a small airfield where you will not see anything interesting until 10 minutes into your flight - you will be paying for a view above industrial areas.
