Introduction: Anahit Sevoyan is accomplished pianist and highly experienced piano teacher. She has over 30 years of successful teaching experience with children and adults and over 40 years of performing experience in classical music. This includes numerous solo piano performances in Russia, Armenia, Poland and USA. She has also collaborated with many other instrumentalists and singers throughout her many years of performing and teaching. In addition, she assisted at various venues as a guest pianist. Mrs. Sevoyan is trained in the classical Russian method. She studied with famous musicians and teachers in the former Soviet Union. She started her studies at Professional Music School at the age of seven. Mrs. Sevoyan graduated with honors and earned: - Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from State Music College, Russia. - Master of Music Degrees in Piano Performance, Collaborated Art. - Master of Education in Piano Pedagogy from Yerevan State Conservatory. Upon graduation, she qualified as a soloist, concertmaster, and piano instructor. She has served as a piano instructor, Chair of the piano department, Co-director at the music school, and Chief music specialist of the Department of Culture in Armenia. She taught piano at Yerevan State Conservatory, State Pedagogical Institute, State Music College and Academy of Music in Russia. She has also worked as a music assistant at Los Angeles Valley College and Moscow Music Center in California Mrs. Sevoyan has received wide recognition as a musician and teacher. As a teacher, Anahit Sevoyan is patient, creative, innovative and confident. She is deeply committed to a high standard and excellent quality of musical education. She received the highest honor award, "Certificate of Honor for Excellence in Teaching", from the Department of Education of Russia in recognition of her dedication and hard work. Her students have been major prize winners in different competitions at the local, state, and national level. They have also been selected to play at the annual MTAC Convention. What a pleasure to express my observations, experience with, and knowledge of Anahit Sevoyan! I am a mature individual, hold advanced degrees from UCLA, and am professionally employed as a manager with the State of California. More pertinent, I resumed piano study after a lapse of a few decadesand after much research discovered Ms. Sevoyan. And am I glad I did. My description of her abilities and skills begins first of all with her solid musicality, her own superb competency as a pianist, and her obvious delight in teaching. She has a huge amount of personal talent and a vast accumulation of music knowledge; but equally important is her capacity for coaching. I know firsthand how well she directs, instructs, inspires, and motivates a student. I must also mention her high degree of compassion, flexibility, and humor. She has that rare knack of imparting to a student the qualities of music appreciation, the joy of learning, and the drive and desire to progress. As I reflect on my interaction with Anahit Sevoyan, I am again impressed at how well she diagnoses the missing parts of my piano training, then works to rebuild those missing or incomplete components. Clearly, she takes her profession seriously. She communicates this commitment creatively, intelligently, and with enthusiasm.

I was recommended to take lessons with Anahit Sevoyan from a colleague and from the first class I understood why he was so excited and confident about her as a professional instructor. She is a wonderful pianist and when taking lessons, one must have someone to look up to. I went from being a mediocre, hopeless amateur to seeing significant change in my technique and have to admit, for the first time I am confident in pursuing music professionally. Aside from her ability to teach and deliver the material, she is pleasant, punctual and very kind. She knows the repertoire and different musical styles, gives me and other students insight into teaching as well as performing. She truly brings out the best in her students. I highly recommend her to anyone who is serious about learning to play the piano and especially, thinking of pursuing it as a career.

Anahit is an incredible teacher. Her deep knowledge and love for music makes every lesson a rewarding experience. She is fully dedicated to the student. She teaches the student not just how to play the notes, she teaches the student how to play with meaning. If you have the chance to study with Anahit, I highly recommend that you do!

Anahit is an amazing piano instructor. She instills a felling of confidence in students. She also has a very extensive repertoire that almost seems endless. I would recommend her to anyone of any age that wants to learn how to play the piano. She teaches from the basics to very advanced levels. She is also very committed to her job, and rarely misses lessons. Her lessons are very professional and private.

I have been taking piano lessons with Anahit for 2,5 years. I was recommended by an acquaintance, whose technique I admired and I also saw the improvement immediately after she started taking classes with Anahit. I am so glad I made the decision to commit full time and let Anahit work her magic. She has certainly taken me to new levels of knowledge, skill and technique. If anyone is serious about playing the piano, especially as a career, look no further. Aside being a master of her craft, she is kind, professional and polite. I highly recommend her!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My primary teaching goal is to help students succeed in understanding music while recognizing students' individual potential and goals. In addition, I develop in them the skills to perform to the best of their ability, with knowledge and professionalism. I teach students in a way that develops mental toughness, and the motivation to perform in public with confidence, warmth, and freedom. I instill a love of music in my students that lasts a lifetime.

I received my Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance, from State Music College, Russia, and my Master of Music Degrees in Piano Performance, Collaborated Art, and Master of Education in Piano Pedagogy from Yerevan State Conservatory.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I offer a coordinated approach to piano instruction for beginning and intermediate students as well as systematic professional training for advanced students and adults. My teaching practice is based on a synthesis of Russian and American methods of piano schools. I provide access to scholarships and opportunities for annual performances in competitions and festivals.My students receive a comprehensive music education and participate in Certificate of Merit Program.
