Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Always make sure that someone is accountable for your work. There are a lot of turn-key legal document preparation services online that force you to work with a web form and you never have contact with an actual person. Often times, there will be a correction or change that needs to be made on your legal documents; don't get stuck in "the system" trying to look for help, you need a real person who will be accountable for and on top of your work.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. Our Paralegals and Legal Document Assistants provide professional legal document preparation at affordable rates.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. We are able to genuinely help our clients with difficult and stressful legal matters; at very affordable prices.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Do I need an attorney? For most legal transactions or cases you don't, you have the right to represent yourself in legal matters and can save tons of money doing so.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. That the profession exists. Most people think that their only option is to hire an attorney at the cost of thousands of dollars. Legal Document Assistants can prepare the same exact paperwork based upon the same exact set of facts involved in your case for much less!
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. Paralegals in California are required to do 8 hours of continuing legal education every two years. All of our paralegals meet this requirement.
Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.
A. One of our clients came in and brought me a Summons he had been served with that month. He had waited a bit long on his 30 day time period to respond and only had two days to prepare and file an Answer with the court. I drafted his paperwork, filed and served it upon opposing counsel the following day. He spent $249 and met all of the legal requirements to protect his rights in the case.
