Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. You can learn allot about a contractor simply by their contractors license number. The lower the number, the longer the contractor has been doing electrical work.

When you hire a contractor with little or no experience, it will cost you in waisted time and effort. You want a company that will do the job correctly the first time and within a reasonable period of time.

Safety in every circuit is not just a motto at Seaside Electric; It's the way we operate our business. You can be sure that we have the experience and ability to do a safe and professional installation.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. If you need to hire a contractor and cannot get a referral from someone, then I would ask the following questions:

Are you a licensed contractor, can I see your card?

Do you have liability insurance, can I have a copy?

Do you hire others and do you carry workers compensation insurance, can you provide a copy? ( verifiable on the CSLB web page)

Can you provide three references that are verifiable?

How much experience do you have in this area of expertise?
