Pastor Carlos is wonderful. We met with him and booked him to be our officiant about 12 months prior to our wedding. Throughout the 12 months he remained in touch with us. Any email I sent was responded to within hours. He helped us layout our ceremony and provided us with many options. The day of the ceremony he was absolutely wonderful. The ceremony he performed was flawless and exactly what the two of us wanted. The most important part was that you could see on his face and hear in his voice how happy he was for us and that he was loving being there. An amazing officiant! Thank you so much!

Carlos wrote a beautiful ceremony for us and made our wedding day so special. We could not be happier with his services. Pastor Carlos makes you feel so comfortable when you meet him. You feel as though you have known him your entire life. Following our ceremony our guests made multiple comments about how beautiful the ceremony turned out and how professional and well-spoken Carlos is. His smile alone made the ceremony so happy. Carlos was flexible, responsive to our questions, and is always very friendly.

    Pastor Carlos,
Thanks for the awesome ceremony. It was just what we wanted. We really appreciate the flexibility with the DJ. We were very impressed that you were able to guide him through the ceremony while still doing what you needed to do and didn't miss a beat - thank you. This made everything look seamless. There were some challenges with the DJ and I am convinced that if you were not there, it could have been a disaster. We were very happy with your meetings with us and your consistent communication. With you, we never had to worry that anything was miscommunicated or was not on time line. As with all the other things that go along with preparing a wedding, it was comforting that we never had to worry about anything that you were a part of.

    Thanks again,

Fourteen years ago Carlos married my wife and me. He honored us by coming to North Carolina to perform the ceremony and did a wonderful job of capturing our hearts and wishes in the ceremony. A very good listener, Carlos surprised us with mention of key points that we hadn't thought to address; but he had the insight to "hear."

Personable, professional and humble, Carlos really cares to do a great job.

Pastor Carlos did an amazing job for us. We wanted a wedding on the beach but live in Wisconsin. Pastor Carlos was very helpful from providing numerous suggestions on locations, ceremony options to where to obtain the marriage license. He was very easy to work with even though we were 2,000 miles away. His professionalism, organization, thoroughness and attention to detail was great. We could not have asked for a better ceremony. A beautiful sunny day, the small park over looking the beach and a pastor that provided a great meaningful message. Thanks Pastor Carlos for making us feel special on our wedding day.

Pastor Carlos wrote a touching and personalized ceremony for our recent wedding. If you are looking for very effective pre marital counseling and or an officiant for your big day nobody beats Carlos. His dedication to each ceremony really shows. Our wedding would not have been the same without him.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Weddings, premarital counseling, marital counseling, memorial services, church consulting, preaching/teaching, missions work, and organizational leadership.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Make sure you are confident that the officiant's experience and abilities to provide a ceremony that will reflect who you two are as a couple and not him/her. Also, that you have good chemistry and know that he/she will make it fun yet professional. If they are not organized and responsive to you that is not a good sign. It's your special day don't let someone mess it up.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. No all officiants are trained or experienced. A lot are not even "really" licensed to perform marriages.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I create custom wedding ceremonies that reflect the couple and who they are. It's not a "can" ceremony.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love the joy of "Wedding Day" and the celebration spirit that come with it. I enjoy working with couples that desire premarital counseling and I enjoy being creative when I write the ceremony... no two are a like.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How much are your services? The ceremony fee various from $250 - $500 based on various factors (i.e., day-of-week, time, location, size of wedding, ceremony, casual or formal, etc.). The premarital fee is $250 for a professional on-line tool called Prepare-Enrich and a 2-hour face-to-face private session.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. I've helped many couples through difficult times to keep true to their wedding vows... later to see years of joy as their families grow. I keep in touch with most couples through FaceBook (2Wed4LIfe), email, or in person.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. I've been performing weddings and doing marital counseling, since early 1995. I've been happily married with 4 children, since May 1987.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I was called into full-time ministry after 14-years of a very successful computer industry career. I served in a few churches as a pastor for 14-years, then started doing mission's work throughout the world. When I'm home I really enjoy working with couples and performing weddings.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. I feel good about all the work I do. I pray a lot before each wedding for the couple and for the ceremony. On many occasions I received many excellent compliments. Recently, I performed a wedding on Shelter Island in front of about 250 people and before I could leave I must have had a dozen or more people approach me to tell me that was "amazing" and it was "the best wedding the have every attended." They also ask me where is my church located, which is a compliment to me.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Yes, I read and inter act with a lot of ministers. Please when ever I get a change I enjoy watching other people officiate weddings.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. Since I was in the computer field I am trying to utilize technological advances to make things more streamline and easy for couples and myself. I create and maintain my own web sites. Couples can really get to know me before they even meet me face to face. I would like to do the same with those that I can't meet face to face, because they live out of state.
