Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I started Golden Hand Handyman in 1986 after working at a small hardware store as a stock clerk and counselor in various departments. The job required that I have knowledge of repair, parts, and maintenance of plumbing, windows and screens, electrical, hardware, and tools.
As customers were purchasing their materials and tools, they would ask questions about how to repair and fix various home projects. Many times they did not want to do these jobs and would request my assistance. I was able to grow my business from my customer relations with many people.
I am very thankful for having the opportunity to work in a field that I am passionate about.
