If you are like me, and have never had a massage,....... well, even if you have.. :).........GO TO KATE!!!! I was never a "get a massage" kinda guy (nor am I a "go to yelp and write a review" either..LOL) but I am that impressed with Kate and her abilities ! I had a killer back pain that just wouldn't go away, docs said take meds, chiros cracked my back and it still was sometimes difficult to walk. After one appointment with Kate, I felt better than in years and booked my next one before I left the office.......Great bedside manner and she knows exactly what to ask and how to treat the problem. All I can say, she is a comforting, consummate professional. Thanks, Kate..I think of you every time I am riding my bike and feeling great !!!

Kate is excellent! I have had many massages in my life and she is one of the best. She focuses on what ails you. You are not going to have a cookie cutter experience; she is there to help make you feel better with a variety of techniques—including hot stone, Swedish, deep tissue and fascia work (and more). Her extensive background in Occupational Therapy gives a unique perspective and focus on healing. She is a real professional and I never want my sessions to end. Thank you Kate!

WONDERFUL MASSAGE - BEST I have EVER HAD! From the moment you walk in, the experience you have is phenomenal. Kate is THE BEST CMT (Certified Massage Therapist) you will ever go to. The room is serene, comfortable, and at the massage is to die for. Because Kate is a trained CMT, she knows exactly how to find the tense areas, and how to work them out. As I found out, often an area is in pain or is tense because another area (where muscles connect) is tight, and Kate uses her knowledge, education and background to work wonders. By massing a particular area, another area often also improves because she massages in the correct places, with the correct consistency! Not only is the massage wonderful by hand, she also uses hot stones that further work out and pain and/or knots you have. She uses an eye pillow, heated towels for the feet and hands, and other extra bonus' that just enhance your experience all around. Kate is friendly, accommodating to your needs, highly professional and the BEST CMT around. I have gone to her FREQUENTLY and will never get a massage by anyone else!

I have had many professional massages in my life, but Kate is a absolute gem. I felt wonderful for days after my session at Body Eclectic. She used heated stones with the massage, and it was fantastic! I am counting the days to my next hour of bliss. Kate can relieve more stress in an hour than a week long vacation. I challenge you to experience Kate's magic and post your own testimonial right under mine.

Question and answer
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. 1.Ask if the therapist is Certified by the state of California (CMT) . This means, in part, that the therapist has attended an accredited school, completed at least 500 hours course work and has been vetted by the FBI and DOJ. Otherwise, you could have someone who took a 10 hour class.
2.Ask for references.
3.Ask about specialization. There are many different kinds of massage and not all massage is for you. Not all therapists are comfortable with the treating the neck. Sports massage is not deep tissue.
4.What modalities are used such as hot stones, stretching, essentials oils, etc.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. There are no inside secrets; or rather, there shouldn't be, just knowledge. Causing pain is incompatible to easing pain. Essentially a good therapist needs to know anatomy, physiology, some neurology, kinesiology and muscle function. A therapist literally needs to be able to "feel" any tight or "knotted" muscle and treat it appropriately. Knowing how to create a relaxing environment is key.
Here's a bit of advice (secret): you should end a massage at any time if it becomes unpleasant for any reason (painful, not deep enough, too much talking, etc). It's OK, and you pay for the time you used. It's Your body, Your pain, Your (dis)comfort, your wasted time & money.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. 1. Do you have California State Certification and what is your certification number. This can be verified on line @camtc@amgroup.us
2. Do you have a specialty or expertise and why?
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. “My clients are women who want to find relief from aches and pain, without the use of long term pain meds, injections or surgery, to fully enjoy the life they have created!
