Cj did exactly what I asked and was professional, creative, and personable. He worked with me being tender headed without it slowing him down or causing me any undue pain. The whole session only took about 3 hours for washing,drying, and separating styling nearly bra strap length locs.

i've been told my hair was too fine and it would take a year or more to loc. Well CJ has proved all of those people wrong! I have been seeing him for a month and having great results. My hair is neat, clean, and even. I mean there aren't locs bigger than the other. Oh, he's expeditious too! You won't be in his shop for 3 and 4 hours.

Hands-down, CJ is your "go to" guy for dread installation, repair, or maintenance. He is VERY knowledgeable in his profession and takes an enormous amount of care and effort, to get your dreads exactly how you want them and his prices are way beyond reasonable. Alot of services similar to his, you MIGHT get lucky, and "get what you paid for." Not CJ. You're definitely going to get what you pay for, and alot more. I am fairly new to the Austin area, and i can comfortably say that i will look no further, for any maintenance my dreads may need, CJ is the best that i have ever seen in this business. Customer satisfaction - 5 stars.

I looked up an Austin Dreadlock artist in Google, and found CJ. Didn't know what to expect as I wasn't sure there was a "good" dreadlock artist in Austin. Well needless to say 'good' was an understatement! My hair is particularly wavy/straight, so didn't think it would be easy (or even possible) for my hair to dread. but after a couple hrs with CJ working on my hair in the shop, it was complete and looked great!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am always learning. I participate in workshops that are throughout Texas and Louisiana to sharpen my skill and technique. Everyone's hair is different, but I have a good understanding of how hair grows, which gives me the ability to not only style or start locks, but keep them healthy and from damage.
