- What types of customers have you worked with?
I usually get new clients when they realize that they need assistance with setting up their QuickBooks, or cleaning up/catching up their file. I also set up payroll that they may either prepare themselves or that I prepare for them. In Colorado, our sales taxes are more complicated than in some other states, so I can prepare that for clients or teach them how to do that correctly. Basically, we try to fit my clients needs, not have the client fit ours.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure that they offer a free consult and write down the questions that you have before you meet. Ask for references and find out how much experience they have with your industry or similar businesses.
