Introduction: I have the best method for teaching drums and percussion. I have a track record of teaching students who have become fine drummers and percussionists. I train students to become musicians. I teach young, talented people who have the desire to become the best that they can be. I prefer student about to or are in Middle School or High School. Adults do not fit well with my teaching methods. (Ages about to enter Middle School thru High School. I have also learned from experience that students should live in reasonable proximity to my studio. Parents scheduling for transportation to keep lesson appointments is a major consideration. (Parents or chauffeurs may sit in my studio during the one-hour lesson. Note: My studio is located near the Quincy Reservoir on the border of Aurora and Centennial. Kindly DO NOT request quotes from me in you are not located within close proximity of this area. (Eaglecrest High School, Cherokee Trails High School, Grandview High School, Smoky Hill High School and all middle schools in this immediate area.)

Joel has been great with my son. He's working had on getting Connor's technique cleaned up but still has fun while teaching/learning. So glad we chose Colorado Mountain Drumming.

I wish there was a way to give a higher rating. Joel is an awesome instructor who’s experience and expertise is top notch and second to none. Joel is very good with kids and is an excellent teacher. I am so glad to have my son under his tutelage.

$25 per hour.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I invite the new student to my studio and I give them an explanation of my background and teaching method. If they choose to continue we ether start with the first lesson or schedule a date to start lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied drums with Sam Ulano and Vibes with Lynn Oliver. I was on the road for 10 years with various bands and currently, am playing with 3 local concert bands. I am the principal percussionist in 2 of those bands.
