Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Make sure you hire a contractor that is a BBB member and make sure they have proper insurance and work comp coverages. Make sure the company is registered with the state.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. What I wish every customer to know is that it does not cost thousands to Design and Remodel a Home and spend thousands more trying get the Contractor to Fix Quality issues, this happens a lot more than it should. The most important key before starting any Project is to do your research on the Contractor and come up with a real soild idea and having passion for it, doing the research and taking great care of every detail helps make the project run smoother. Before you start the project. In other words the amount of time you spend know what you want gives you a better feeling on how it should be and turn out in the end.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Price, Craftmanship,Getting projects completed in a timely manner. Quality materials.Dealing with some one that knows the business.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. The contacts, people, and the work that we get to complete for people that hire Glacier Remodeling, Inc.

Giving back to the foundations that we support.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. What is your time frame.I usally say first come first serve.Depending how busy we are. Also how big a project it is.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. I have a lot of stories, the best ones are the relationships that are built in the process of the start to finish of a project.

Really, finding out what people enjoy about life.

Q. What are your most common types of jobs?

A. Roofing, Siding, Window Replacement, Gutters, Decks, Kitchens, Bathrooms, and additions.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. ICC class that are new upcoming codes, and review of the old codes, Lead abatement classes, Up coming new construction classes.

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. Are most recent project was a Roof in aurora, 29 Sq, 2 Layer tear off, Installing a Owens Corning Weather Gaurd HP Shingle Class 4 Impact resistant Shingle. What that means is the shingle can take Hail at the size of 2". The Time it took to do this job and pass Inspection was 1 Day.
The Job cost for the Roof system was $10,200.00. The job cost for this job and any job varies alot depending on slope, height, type of shingle being used, materials invovled etc.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. I would let them know there is a lot of information to learn and know about. (Business & Trades) It's not just important to know about each trade unlike the learning curves with understanding the people your trying to provide a service to.

I was amazed at the remodel job Glacier Remodeling did on my kitchen. They laid out the plans in a way that I understood and it looks better than I imagined. They were so great to work with – true professionals. They kept me in the loop about what they were doing and always asked for my approval if there were any changes. I completely trust them and will only work with them for my future projects around the house.
