I offer piano lessons for all styles and ages. From beginners to advanced, I provide an enjoyable way of learning all types of music.
Whether you're getting prepared for an audition or wanting you or your child to learn, I accommodate our lessons to every scenario. As a teacher, I understand that everyone has different needs and learning abilities. I cater to those differences, as well as an individual's aspirations.
I provide lessons that include classical, jazz, popular, improv, chart reading, theory, harmony, ear training and more.
I also hold a BMA in piano from Metropolitan State College and have over 5 years of teaching experience. I also currently perform as a piano accompanist, as well as with a jazz trio. These performances keep me aware that to be able to teach, you have to be an example as well, that's why I hold 2 recitals per year for my students. This can be a way for a person to express their knowledge, abilities, and emotions.
Students' minimum age should be 4 years old. I travel to your home.
My rates are as follows:
* $11 for 15 minutes (usually for beginning, young children)
* $22 for 30 minutes
* $44 for 1 hour
* $5 traveling fee
For more information, please go to my website which also contains music samples.
Thank you, and I look forward to working with you.

Question and answer
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Our lessons are detailed and specific for beginners and young children. If you are intimidated to start learning but are overwhelmed by the material out there, I am able to concise our lessons to learn what you need step by step.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I don't specialize in one genre. I am able to expand in teaching and performing in styles like classical, jazz, pop, contemporary, hip hop, rock, and church music (ex. hymns). My lessons also offer not only playing music but how to practice. I believe this is vital as a student in their journey. If this isn't addressed then bad habits form which take twice as long to break then it is to learn them. My lessons are detailed as well as specific to each person's level.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. When I reflect on the times as a student that I realize or understand something, I feel empowered and able to expand on an idea on my own. It feels wonderful when a student feels the same way when they understand something in our lessons. I also felt like I've experienced my share of bad teachers in my life and never want to do the same to others. I give all the knowledge I can without hesitation and with the compassion and understanding to each individual. Seeing someone experience the joy that comes from music while making it, is an inspiration to me as well.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. I am currently studying with a professional which would help me start into a Masters program. I believe in never staying in the same place in any profession. There is as much to learn as their was to start in any field. I also perform on a regularly basis such as in musicals, schools, jazz groups, and accompanying jobs.
