I'm Shanelle's dad,(yes a little biased). She's been doing my hair,(and taking good care of me) for years!!!And she also has been cutting and grooming her brothers,in which is not easy these days... their styles! Ohh and also her Mom. LADIES! The main reason for my review is for you! The business I'm in is made up of mostly women,I've passed Shanelle's card on to a lot of them and they also bring their daughters as well. They all rant/rave over Shanelle's work!! And I must say, coming from a guy...They really look....Yummy! (both cuts and color) Her expertise and knowledge and her dedication to you and her business is well worth your time and $$$. Thanks,Jeff

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Hair cuts. I do precision cuts and am a master colorist as well.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. You get what you pay for. Look around, do your research, don't be afraid to ask questions. A good stylist will know all the answers.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. I wish i knew more about the products that are on the market. I would have to say don't just buy the product because it "smells good". Look at the ingredients. Watch out for alcohol and absolutely no oils with hair extensions.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Know exactly what your hoping for with your experience. Are you looking for volume, length, hilites? Look around, don't just go with the first person you find!

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I have a natural talent for this (or so I've been told). I do strand by strand method and anyone who is willing to stand 6 hrs or more should tell you a lot about the outcome of your service!

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Making people feel good and seeing a smile on their face!

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How long do these last? They can last 3-4 months with proper maintenance.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. I did a donations for the locks of love and later that month cut a style in a little 7 year old girl who was growing her hair out from chemotherapy and told me she actually wore the hair from the locks of love while going through this process. :)

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. How hard I work and how I strive for excellence. I continue my education constantly and welcome a challenge!

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I knew I wanted to do hair since kindergarten. I cut all my dolls and Barbie and even got in trouble at school for cutting my friends bangs!

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. I did extensions on a lady, she was soooo happy she started crying! Her hair just wouldn't grow and she was thinning. It looked so natural and she loves it!

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. ABSOLUTELY! I would go crazy if i didn't. I love to keep up the the latest styles and trends. I attend National hair shows and run way shows. I love the fashion side of my business for sure but hair is my passion.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. Definitely hair extensions and Brazilian blowouts which is a non-chemical smoothing system. Cinderella hair extensions is 100% human hair and is REMY hair which means the cuticle all ran the same direction. This hair has never touched the floor when it was cut. This prevents tangles and damage later down the road for your service.

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. I added length for a young lady, it took 4 hours of very tedious strand by strand method of a organic protein that bonds the hair together.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. I like to do in person consultations for this. I need to see, touch your hair to know exactly how much hair to order and what exactly your looking for and to make sure your a good candidate.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Don't think you get busy over night. I sat day in and day out sometimes with nothing to build my clientθle. Saturday's is a must. Clients need to feel they are #1 and that you would bend over backwards for them. You will be greatly rewarded in the end.

Q. Write your own question and answer it.

A. What do you do on your personal time? I spend time with my wonderful husband and 3 boys! Ages 13, 8, and 3. I love being active and going to the mountains! I love to cook as well. It's my passion #2 next to hair of course!
