Hi, my name is Jacob Nelson and I am a university student as well as a private piano instructor working out of Boulder, Westminster and Denver Colorado (including surrounding suburbs).

I have over 17 years of experience and rigorous classical training. I was granted a large scholarship to the Denver University Lamont School of Music.

My rates are often half that of similar instructors.

I can travel to you, or you can play on a grand piano at my Westminster location.

I have played concerts and recitals for hundreds of people

I teach all levels and styles of music (including combinations with other instruments and "jamming").

My lessons are fun! My lessons are tailored to the interests of the student and I can instruct in classical music, contemporary, Jazz, experimental and musical combos. Lessons are available to people of all ages and musical backgrounds and above all, I make sure that the student is progressing while having fun learning a new instrument.

If you are interested, please feel free to call or e-mail with further inquiries.

Question and answer

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I focus on people. Connecting with an individual is essentially the most important aspect of the student/instructor relationship and I am capable of reaching students on their own terms while also giving them all the tools they need to progress.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love interacting with students who are interested in music and it is amazing to see beginner students reach their goals.
