About Jacqueline Originals

1 Thumbtack job completed

My rare skill is calligraphy; I can design any letter forms/logos you require, in addition to any drawing/painting images. My 35 years of creating art and three advanced art degrees give me the edge.

As a mature artist, I bring a depth of creativity and unique skills in composition, painting, computer design and hand lettering. I love a challenge! My calligraphy work includes an inspirational book and over a thousand original pieces. I do not address wedding invitations.

My largest mural is 640 sq. ft, with no pencil drawing beneath. Clients love working with me because I listen to what they want and do my very best to create their image. Very few artists have mastered calligraphy; I can incorporate that into any design. I'm honest, hard-working and dependable. I've been in business since 1971 and personally guarantee the highest quality.

Gave the project to the designer I wanted. Don't like thumbtack.com because I couldn't just contact them directly without posting a job. Sorry, best of luck to you.

In 1999, Jacqueline created and produced an "incredible"640 sq. ft.
Wall Mural at our indoor pool in Chelan,WA.at the BestWestern
Lakeside Lodge and Suites,Where I am the Director of Operations
for the last 15 years. The Mural is an" Indian Encampment"and has
all the local colors, textures, topography, wildlife, culture and even
the area tribe`s petroglyphs.Dr. Shuler spent many hours researching
and exploring the greater Lake Chelan area to produce a Genuine
Piece of Lake Chelan History. There is not one "pencil line" underneath
the paint. This is all "free-hand" work! Not to mention, all the colors were
"custom mixed"by Jaquueline as she went along, matching the local colors.Dr. Shuler completed the Mural in "28 days",Spectacular Work ! Sincerely,Thomas Gormley, tjg426@gmail.com

Jacqueline is an incredibly talented artist. I have numerous pieces of her calligraphy in my home and often order them as personalized gifts for weddings, graduations and new babies. Her prompt customer service and personal touch keeps me reordering. In recent years I ordered paintings for my living room. Jacqueline took the time to talk with me and then created the perfect final touch, a three piece mural scene. Last year, our church needed a special stained glass window designed, Jacqueline's simple, meaningful, artistic design is now a focal point in our church. With such professional, personal work I will continue to turn to Jacqueline for my artwork needs!

My husband and I are privileged to own several of Jacqueline's exquisite art works. Our favorite is a beautiful painting of a water lily. This unique painting is breath-taking in its colors and composition, and seems to embody an almost spiritual sense of peace and serenity. We recommend Jacqueline unequivocally; she is an artist of uncompromising integrity, creativity and skill.

I would describe Jacqueline as the consummate professional in her field. She is more than talented, she has a spiritual depth of understanding which leads her to create truly inspirational work. My relationship with her, relating to art, is one of student to mentor; she is always giving and giving in joy.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Look carefully at the artist's portfolio. The work should be consistent and high quality. If the production is uneven, avoid this artist. Actually check his/her references. Get an estimate for labor, supplies, travel and time for project. Have the artist create a "mock-up" for you. Require a written contract.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Knowing about good composition and artist materials would be a plus. The excellent artist creates a beautiful finished product with permanent materials. Very few people can judge good calligraphy or composition.
Understanding the technology behind graphic design is not usual. Ask the artist to explain anything you don't understand. Google terms you don't know.
See if you can find an art educator to help you make a good judgement.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Have a clear idea of what you want done--how big? Inside? Outside? What materials? When do you need it finished?
Ask for references. Contact these people and ask about the quality of the work, the dependability of the artist and if the work was completed on time.
Ask if the artist provides a "mock-up" of the project.
Write down all your ideas. Talk with the artist until you both understand the nature of the project clearly.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. The specs! Size, materials, placement, color range, theme, budget.
Write down exactly your ideas so that the artist understands what is expected.
