Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Find a belly dance teacher who is a good fit for you; shop around. And bring a friend - it's more fun that way!

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Belly dance originated as a folk dance that everyone does, handed down from grandmother to mother to daughter, and done by men and women. It's not just for skinny women wearing sequins!

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. How long have you been teaching and performing? Can you provide any references? How many classes do you teach? Where do you perform and how often? What styles do you teach? Do you teach and perform with finger cymbals, veil, sword, and/or cane?
