"I just wanted to thank you for all of your expert advice in the puppy and intermediate training. Angel is almost six months old now, and the clicker training has been an incredible tool to use in teaching her how to sit, lay down, heel, and speak." -- Yvette Mihaly, Colorado Springs "When I first rescued my pit bull, Sandy, I was anticipating some negative reactions due to the unfortunate stereotype against pit bulls. Luckily, the first trainer I came into contact with was Linda Brennen. Sandy took to Linda instantaneously. I knew I had found the right trainer. Linda even took the time to take us on "field trips" to the dog park to learn proper etiquette and how to read Sandy's behavior to prevent unnecessary tussles. With consistent positive reinforcement stemming from Linda's guidance, Sandy has become a wonderful companion and a true ambassador for her misunderstood breed." -- Lena Steiner, Colorado Springs "I just wanted to tell you I am thrilled with the classes for Bella. You are a very good trainer, and although I wasn't sure I could learn to use the technique correctly, you invited me to observe your puppy class the next night. I did and began to see how to build behavior by little steps. I also saw the difference in dog temperament which isn't good or bad, but part of the dog. Once I understood how important it was to respect those traits in each dog, I grew to understand Bella much better." -- Margie Anderson, Monument

I have an elderly rescue Great Pyrenees. She was very anxious when I got her two years ago...she has come a long way but her barking was incessant and she started becoming aggressive with guests. I knew it was time to call in some help when she started nipping at my house guests trying to run them off. I had Linda come to assess the situation. She spent two hours with us and then came a few more times. Just after the first time, my dog was much much calmer. She is now a completely different dog thanks to some of the tips Linda provided as well as helping me learn how to work with her. She is a wonderful trainer--very gentle, very knowledgeable and very respectful and in tune with the animals. My previous dog training classes made me cringe with how they trained me to treat my animals. Linda's approach is very kind towards the animals and uplifting--I finally can sleep through the night because she doesn't bark all night like she used to and she no longer flips out when thunder comes. I finally am enjoying my Daisy so much more and we have established a wonderful connection. She even loves to train now--it's fun for her and stimulates her mind. THANK YOU Linda...what a godsend you are.

Linda is a terrific trainer. Her clicker technique is incredible. I have a 2 yr old and 6 year old labs. They had never been on a leash in their lives and their behavior was totally unruly. With Linda's patience and tremendous behavioral training, I now walk the dogs daily, are we all love it. They are so well behaved and are listening for the first time. They are much happier dogs and so am I. Linda's dog training knowledge is truly unbeatable. She's amazing!

FAQs

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Dog training is a completely unregulated industry, so please do your research and choose wisely. Ask questions about specific training techniques and be willing to meet the trainer and observe classes. A responsible trainer will make every effort to stay up to date regarding ongoing research on dog behavior and learning theory. Ask about the trainer's education and experience, and verify that they continue their education by attending conferences, workshops and seminars.
