Everything went smoothly and was completed in a timely manner. The work completed was very good. I can hardly tell that there was a problem.

John millers work is impressive. He is a real artist and craftsman. He is responsible, honest and trustworthy. The granite and tile he did in our kitchen is fantastic. We totally recommend him for any and all stone work.

John built me a custom countertop two months ago and it looks fantastic. We had a hand-painted Mexican sink and a nice cut of stone that a friend had given us and needed someone to rip off the old countertop, work with the existing base and install the new equipment. John kept in good touch before the job, working with my schedule and came on a cold Saturday and worked 6 hours straight to make it look nice. I gave him free reign to design as he felt best, working around some flaws in the stone (the reason I'd gotten it free). He hid those flaws perfectly, designing a cool shelf out of scrap pieces and putting in a nice backsplash. I'll definitely use John again when we are ready to redo our kitchen counters. His prices were very reasonable also, weighed against others I priced. — Matthew Schniper, Colorado Springs

We called Stone Unlimited in desperation on Sunday when we noticed that our nearly new granite countertop had cracked. John managed to fit us into his schedule for Monday, worked through dinner - and not only did he fix the crack up as good as new, but he also corrected the terrible job that the original installation company had done on our seams. You can't even tell that there were problems anymore! What a relief... Trust me - if you need granite help, John's the guy!

John installed glass/metal tile on my fireplace & kitchen backsplash and granite countertops in my kitchen. Overall, about 5 days in my home for the project. The fireplace & countertops turned out okay, but the backsplash grout looks terrible, very amateurish. It has holes all over and the finish looks uneven... chalky and jagged. I'm no expert, but it looks like the grout wasn't mixed correctly. Also, before he installed the backsplash we pointed out two broken pieces of glass tile in two of the tile meshes so he could either (a) avoid using them, or (b) replace them with another good piece of glass. He put the broken pieces up even though there was plenty of good pieces left over he could have used. Of the 5 days he came to my home, he was late 4 of them. Not 10 minutes late... hours late. If he was due at noon, he'd call at 2:00 to say he was running late from another job and that he'd arrive in an hour and it would end up being 2 or 3 hours before he'd arrive. He was moving out of town a week after my project and I notified him about the grout before he left and he said he'd come fix it. He never did. He said he'd have another guy come fix the grout but that hasn't happened. It's been 3 weeks and my kitchen backsplash grout hasn't been fixed and he's not returning my messages. I'm going to have to hire someone else to fix his work. I wouldn't take a chance on hiring him. Nick, Aurora, CO

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

The jobs I do most often are granite and marble slab repair jobs involving scratched or broken stone. I also do many onsite alterations to change the shape of existing tops or to accomodate the installation of a new appliance or sink.
