- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$25/half hour $40/45 minutes $50/hour
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
During the first lesson we get to know each other in order to build a relationship (i.e. what is your skill level? have you had any experience with music? show me some pieces you have worked on. what do you do for a living?). For beginner students we learn about how to sit at the piano, finger numbers, reading the music, sight reading, theory, and ear training. For more experienced students I learn about your technique and abilities, then we start where you are and go from there.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in Music Education and Performance. I have been teaching private lessons since 2008, founded Mile High Academy of Music LLC in 2013, and have been teaching general classroom music K-8, band, orchestra, and guitar ensembles in Douglas County SD, Cherry Creek SD, and Aspen Academy since 2009.
