I hired Leonardo to install LVT on our basement floor. His quote was middle of the pack and initially he seemed like a nice guy to work with. After we started I noticed how strange he would get about payments. Even though his contract said half upfront and rest at completion, after a day’s work he expected more payment and he would argue with me about it. Also, his quote was based on pouring concrete and leveling and and he requested 8 bags of concrete but after a day of some grinding he says it’s all good we don’t need to pour concrete. So basically a $1000 for half a days worth of grinding and nothing else. Additionally, LVTs are supposed to be free standing on the floor but I come back from work to find out they have caulked every single LVT to the floor. My manufacturer warranty is now void. I still find some remnant caulk on top of the LVT planks that I still cannot remove. They did do a decent job of the baseboards but he has a habit of overcharging if you ask for anything extra. My bedroom door frames had to be shifted so we needed about 2 sq inch of additional LVT put on the floor and he wanted $300 for it considering he was the one who glued everything to the floor. I’d be very careful regarding the type of job assigned and ask for clarification on how it’s going to be done and pricing. Definitely would not recommend.
