Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. If I were a painting customer, having the knowledge of a painting contractor, I would like to know;
1) How many workers are planned for my job
2) How many days do you expect to complete
3) What is your payment schedule
4) What brand and type of paint will you use
5) References of similar type painting jobs
6) Insured and Licensed
7) Professional Memberships
8) Experience, How many years have you been doing this
9) What is your paint schedule, how far out are you on starting the work
10) What is your house painting warranty
11) Can you help me with my paint color selections
12) Bonded? What types of bonds are you speaking; Performance, Payment, Surety, Material and others. No residential painting requires a bond, as this is an additional cost of insurance, normally for jobs exceeding over $100,000.00 and between Contractor, and Subs. Therefore, bonded is an open topic, loosely used, and has little to no meaning painting homes or smaller painting jobs.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Our house painting stands out from the rest, from our vast knowledge, and painting techniques, strictly follows manufacture guidelines, taking our time, making sure the painting process is done correctly the first time. With so many shortcuts, some having a direct impact on the integrity of the paint's quality, Eco Paint stands behind our warranty 100%. If something does not hold up for the 1st. 4 years to all of our expectations, we enjoy and welcome hearing from our customers, being able to correct any paint concerns. More importantly, we enjoy hearing from our previous customers no matter what the concerns can be. Most of the time hearing back from our previous customers, it is asking for additional work, being so impressed with the original painting service we provided. Example of this would be painting an interior one year, hearing back from our customer the following year, inquiring about exterior painting, as we do both. Approximately 60% of our customers, we hear back needing additional painting, or recommend us to their neighbors and friends.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. Painted an exterior home going up for sale in Aurora CO. in 2009. Couple retiring, moving to San Antonio TX. Home was listed on the MLS by ReMax, just prior to us starting painting job on Monday. We began the painting process on Tuesday , finishing on Saturday.

Home had it's first showing on Saturday, the same time we were doing our final walk-through. After completing, and back at our office, owners called me, letting me know, the folks we casually saw from a distance, put earnest money down, taking the home off the market.

This is the honest truth, only happening once in my painting career, knowing the exterior painting job was not the only thing responsible for the successful home sale, but does prove first impressions of a home, having the best curb appeal, updating paint color schemes for a fresh, clean look does make a difference.

Noting: This happened to be 1 year after the Sub-Prime fiasco America experienced, with a surplus of homes on the market by 2009. Our customers were Extremely_ glad they chose Eco Paint Inc. Helping close the deal, selling their home, having a fresh new paint coating.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. Having 2 prior generations of painting, carpentry and building trades, attending woodshop class all through High School, it was born in me. After graduating from High School, attending a Junior College, I landed my first job, being a commercial ceiling texture for the Disco we had patronized all through High School. This was the first real paint contracting job, as many others soon followed in Dallas TX. Painting residential and commercial in the East Texas Area, up until 1989-90, moving business to Colorado, where we still paint homes, offices, and local businesses in Denver and Colorado. Being the oldest painting company based in Denver, Aurora, painting Colorado, with now over 30+ years experience.
