I'm a male massage therapist in private practice near 6th and Wadsworth in Lakewood. My background is more on sports and deep-tissue massage, but I'm also great for relaxation.

I listen to what you need then help you get that. Check out my website, then contact me to set up your massage.

I am a male therapist. No female therapists are available.

I accept payment by cash, check and credit cards.

Question and answer

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Water

Being properly hydrated before and after a massage is key to avoiding soreness and it's good for your well-being overall.

Without restriction from a medical authority, "enough" water can be determined by dividing your weight (in pounds) by 2; the number that you get is the number of ounces of water that you should be drinking in a normal day. For example, a person weighing 120 pounds should be drinking 60 ounces of water per day ... at least.

The day before, of and after a massage you should drink a bit more than that.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. You're the "What" and "Why" in my office ... I'm just the "How." When you come in I'm not in a hurry to get you onto the table and out the door. I want to understand what you expect from the session and devise a plan to get you there. Plus, unlike a lot of Massage-O-Rama clinics, I don't stack my appointments so closely together that I have to rush the end of the massage to get ready for the next one.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I like seeing people leave better than when they came in. It really validates me to myself, and hopefully to those who come to see me, when I make a real difference in their well-being. It's why I do this.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. So ... how long have you been doing massage?

I was professionally certified in July of 2009, but when I was in college and in the Army my friends would often come to me to handle their unruly muscles. In that sense I have been "doing" massage for over 20 years!
