- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A basic overnight pet-sitting job is $60 a night. ADDITIONS Three or more dogs - add $5.00 a night Outside Denver, Englewood, or Littleton add $10.00 a night Outside Denver Metro Area - I usually don't go that far, but when I do, it's an additional $15 a night. No internet access - add $5.00 a night Extra trip to return key - $10.00 Introductory visit - Free! MOST SPECIAL NEEDS ARE INCLUDED IN THE BASIC RATE.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started pet sitting when I lost all three of my pets to old age and illness in the span of a year. It was too soon to bring a new family member home, but my desire to love and care for animals hadn't lessened. Since I was also looking for an enjoyable and meaningful part time job, things fell into place for starting a pet sitting business. I feel very fortunate to do what I do. There is nothing better than knowing that the priorities of your heart and the priorities of your work are the same.
