Introduction: As a husband and wife team, we are able to shoot together effectively, creatively and enjoyably. At every shoot, we're able to combine our love for people and photojournalism, and we couldn't be happier doing it. It's a bonus that we get to work beside the person that we love. :) We absolutely love spending the whole day getting to know our clients and making them feel comfortable and beautiful in front of the lens. It brings us so much joy to see a person's face light up at the sight of themselves. Most of all, we love when a client becomes a friend.

Jess Purple was the photographer for our September wedding. My husband and I could not be happier with how our photos turned out. We are SO in love with every single one! Our wedding took place in the Mountains (Keystone CO) at 5pm. Because of the rustic/outdoor setting, we were looking for someone that would be able to work well in natural light, Jess nailed it. From the moment that she and her partner arrived at the scene, there was a sense of calm (which was a total godsend) We had a few meetings before to communicate what kind of pictures we wanted, so I felt confident that she would know what to do, and she did. Nothing felt un-natural or forced, and that shows in our pictures. I didn't notice her at all during the ceremony, but we have pictures from near and far of every important moment. The transition from ceremony to post-pictures was flawless, Jess was calm and easily directed family and bridal party to their designated spots for our pictures. She was able to get all of our desired bridal party pictures done with enough time for them to go off and enjoy our cocktail hour (while we went and did our couples shots). The one on one pictures of just my husband and I are stunning! As previously mentioned they were not forced or awkward, we both felt extremely comfortable and confident with Jess at the wheel. We have many unique shots, not just the run of the mill wedding portraits which is what we wanted to stay away from. Jess had many great ideas of different positions/poses for the two of us, although they were staged it still felt natural.She always maintained a professional manner, but also seemed to be enjoying the event as much as we were. My wedding day was the stuff of dreams, and I HAVE to credit Jess with helping make that happen. She captured it perfectly so we can re-live those special moments for years to come. Anyone to have the pleasure of having her photograph any special event will not be disappointed!

Wow Jess did an amazing job!!! Jess took my engagement pictures, and I have recieved non-stop compliments about how fantastic they are. The images were so unique and emotion filled. Jess talked with me multiple times before our shoot to get a sense of exactly what I wanted. She planned out the whole shoot, where we would go, what time at each place - and when the weather didn't cooporate, she helped us make a game time decision as to what we wanted to do -and it all turned out PERFECT. Even my fiance (this guy hates getting his picture taken) had a great time, and said multiple times afterwards how much fun it was. Trust me, I am picky picky about photography but Jess put all my anxiety away and she did an absolutely fantastic job. I couldn't be happier!

Jess was our photographer for our engagement photos and our wedding. We had met through mutual friends and were immediately attracted to her warm personality. For people who get awkward in front of a camera, it is especially important to have someone who is capable of putting you at ease. Jess did just that. She brings out the best in her clients and then captures that beauty with her lens. She helped educate us on the professional photography experience and was accommodating of any neurosis I had as a bride-to-be before the wedding. Our engagement shoot was outside at a state park and our wedding was indoors at an old clock tower. Regardless of the setting she had the perfect eye for lighting. Her husband is her second shooter which made everything that much better. To see a husband-wife duo capturing our special day just generated more feelings of love, gratitude and excitement. I can't say enough about Jess Purple. She has mastered the ability to be professional and personable which many can only aspire to. I will continue to use her to capture my big life moments. The pictures are stunning and the experience was wonderful.

We found Jess Purple from the recommendation of a friend. She photographed our fall family pictures just a few weeks ago. I have two small children (18 months and 3 years) and I was slightly worried about how these would turn out due to their lack of cooperation. We met Jess in a beautiful park outside of Denver. She was prepared with a few props and her warm personality put us all at ease immediately. It was a very fun and easy going shoot. She just let my family do what we do best ie. be silly and natural. Within 3 days, we received our edited pictures and they were amazing. Jess far and away exceeded my expectations! The colors are rich and vibrant and I just love how they turned out. We will definitely be booking with Jess Purple again next year!

FAQs

What types of customers have you worked with?
We shoot mostly wedding, engagement, boudoir and lifestyle photography. We also do commercial/ architectural work. We have many years experience shooting together, and prefer to do weddings as a team. However, if you are on a budget, and prefer a simpler package with only one photographer, we will work with you to meet your needs.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Our advice for those looking for a photographer is to really find someone that they click with - stylistically and personality-wise. It's so important that the client-photographer relationship is organic and comfortable. We won't commit to a wedding until we've at least had a chance to sit down with the bride and get to know her a bit to see if we're a fit.
