Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. We repair and replace water lines, drain and sewer lines and gas lines. Some of our Techs also install water heaters and canle / clean sewer lines.

Over 65% of our work is commercial, government and industrial.

We do no new constructions.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. The price you pay us or anyone else depends on what they charge and what they are proposing you have done. Buying on an hourly rate will cost you more if you haven't picked the right option. And the right option isn't what the know how to do. It is critical that you understand the root cause of an issue, all the options and warranties and the price for the solution. For example we are the only plumber in Colorado that guarentees sewer line cleaning for over a year! Most companies are 30 days or 90 days. Many repairs are also covered by insurance companies so be sure your service provider is approved and able to support your claim adjusters' needs. If the plumber you are dealing with can't show you a list of satisfied customers who used them for what you are needing completed; RUN.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. That some companies pull you in with cheap service, like drain / sewer cleaning for $59 or through a roof vent, and do a poor job. You use them over and over and feel like you are saving money until the day comes when you learn your sewer line is destroyed by roots and they sock it to you on the replacement price. The Denver Post reported that the average sewer line replacement cost in November, 2010 was than 85% of the prices for all our jobs in 2010 back to 2008. But their life long plumber was thew one that failed to extend the life of their line.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. #1. Understand the relationship between the symptom you are seeing and the root cause of the problem.
#2. Get at least 2 nd preferably 3 different options for any repair.
#3. If the repair is costing more than $250 get a 2nd opinion from another company.
#4. Never bight on the line 15 years experience. It may be the same year 15 times. Remember, well over 80% of the "plumbers" and "master plumbers" advertsing they do service are really unemployed construction plumbers who will be gone when the economy improves.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. We spend a lot of time helping homeowners who can't afford the work proposed by others keep their homes repaired. Our team the only ones supporting Denver Housing Authority and Arapahoe County. Our skills and reviews shows we are the most referre dplumber on the area and we donate time to projects like the Darent Williams Boys and Girls Club and Sobriety House among others.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. We don't. We price our jobs by the job. Our Technicians are not paid by commission but rather by the task that they perform. They can't raise prices to pad their paychecks. And unlike those more well known plumbers we don't fire techs who fail to sell enough every pay period.

Over 60? Military, police or fire rescue? No fancy math. We have a separate price list thta simply costs you 15% less on the labor portion. We just can't get those parts stores Home Depot and the like to care tosave you money on parts.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Anyone can sweat pipes, dig a trench, pull a toilet for example.

Two skills are difficult to find. Problem solving and people skills.
