Q. Describe three recent jobs you've completed.

A. Working with a first time home buyer.
Found another rental home for one of our real estate investors.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Interview at least three agents. We have a set of questions under our Buyer Resources of: Eight important questions to ask an agent & How can a real estate agent help me.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. When you are interviewing agents, ask them if they work full time in real estate or are they just doing this has a part time job on the weekend?

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Buyer's need to know what they qualify for and how much they can afford to spend each month for a payment. We have a mortgage calculator on our web site. And we can refer several different types of lenders for them to talk to about pre qualifying for a loan.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Work as a full time agent. Putting an 110% into marketing our listings by using the latest technology. Being a consultant and really listening to our clients needs and wants.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Seeing our client(s) get excited when they found the house of their dreams.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. The industry is ever changing from how homes are sold to how a buyer can qualify for a loan. You want an agent that is a step ahead and keeping on top of the changes. The Hoffman Home Team continues to keep in close contact with other professionals to know when changes occur and how it will effect the consumer.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. Our family started the first Keller Willams Office in Colorado back in the 80's. My husband joined the family in 1999 and then I joined in 2004.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. Working for a family that needed to do a short sale on their home. I was able to get multiple offers on the property which helped increased the purchase price and minimized the loss to the bank and the sellers.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Yes we take continueing education classes year round. Especially the laws and contracts updates as well as marketing trends and technology trends.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. Social Media marketing. Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, all internet marketing. Using all avenues to get our listings sold and the buyers searching and finding their home.

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. A new loan product that gives the buyer money to have repairs done to a home. It called a 203K FHA Loan. It's a great opportunity to get a home and have the repairs rolled into the loan. Repairs are done by professionals. It takes a little longer than a traditional loan to close. About 2 weeks longer due to having to involve having contractor's bid for the after repair value of the property.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. We would have them come in and discuss why real estate & what would their future goals be. We offer scholarship program for real estate school. And we have the best training program for new and experienced agents. Real estate school just teaches you about the laws and how to pass the exam. We teach you how to become a great agent through systems and models that you will use and be successful.
