Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Our most common types of work include corporate video, training video, education, events, sporting activities, public affairs, news events, corporate events and much more.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Not to ask about price first, but to explain what they expect their project to look like and what goals they hope to accomplish by doing a professional video project.,ie: hope to increase viewership to my website.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Educate yourself a little on how to ask the appropriate questions. Everyone in the business claims to have the highest high definition cameras. It's a good thing to ask what type of cameras or editing equipment they have and do some online research on what they will be shooting and editing for you with what they have told you they have.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Extensive experience, great supporting staff, award winning video work.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Different projects each day makes my work exciting and challenging and not just a job but a fun activity that I enjoy. It's much better than working in a cubicle.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. What is it going to cost. Should be what will you be able to do to increase business for me and what type of equipment do have and what is your experience level instead of what is your price. Price is not as important as how a well produced video project can help a company increase it's customer base.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I did a class in high school and from then on I was hooked on video. I went to college and got a bachelors degree in broadcasting and marketing and have been active in video production for 23 years.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Yes we constantly read up on new technologies in our field and take classes on new video and web technologies, so we can keep up with the growing field of video production.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. I wouldn't say it is complicated, but every project has a different price point. We usually discuss the clients project and from there establish a fair price for both of us.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Do allot of free work, lot's of internships and be friendly and accommodating so people will call you for any future work.
