Introduction: If you played violin as a kid and want to pick it back up or you’ve always dreamed of being a fiddler but haven’t had the chance yet, I'm here to help. Whatever your musical dreams, from playing in a band to hosting jam sessions, entering a fiddle contest or learning to play your own favorite tunes, I’ll give you the tools to reach those goals. I teach fiddle primarily by ear and customize each lesson to your challenges, strengths, motivations, and desires as a musician.

Celeste is THE best teacher I’ve ever had for anything (she’s teaching me fiddle). She’s very calm, and lessons are relaxed, fun, productive and never boring. Her method is exceptionally effective, without stress or frustration. I HIGHLY recommend her for both people who have played music and those with absolutely no musical experience. I really can’t say enough about Celeste as both a teacher and a person. I’ve watched her interact with kids and she’s just as good with kids as adults. Her teaching method is quick, entertaining, and a lot of fun! It’s so nice to have such an outstanding and accomplished teacher in the area.

I've been an official student of Celeste's for about a year but have known her for at least 4 and I will happily sing her praises to anyone looking to learn the fiddle. Before I was a student of hers, I would regularly get to see Celeste at jams and group lessons that I attended where she was always a comforting and supportive mentor for both myself and other less experienced fiddlers. When I started taking lessons with her, I was struggling to find my love for fiddling and practicing, more often than not, felt like a chore. However, Celeste has been instrumental in reminding me what I love about playing the fiddle and helping cultivate my continued love for the genre and instrument.
In addition to being an all-around lovely human being, she's also a fantastic teacher. As someone who has had probably around 10 violin teachers in my 13 years with the instrument, I cannot stress enough how important it is to find a teacher who is willing to adapt to the needs and interests of their students. Celeste is certainly one of those teachers and I could not be more grateful for it. In addition to teaching new tunes and such, she has also helped me rebuild many basic foundational skills in my playing, the benefit of which can't really be overstated.
Moral of the story: Celeste is an amazing teacher who makes everyone in a room feel welcome and creates an incredibly positive learning environment in all her lessons.

My son has been taking lessons with Celeste for a few years and she is absolutely amazing! She can bring a fiddle player to the next level! My son has learned some amazing fiddle tunes from her that he has been able to use for live performances with a band, with very fun and unique variations and style! She is very good with teaching technique, and also patient with a teenager that is now very busy and interested in other things! She has been able to keep him interested in learning fun songs! Highly recommend her!

Celeste is a rare gem of a teacher. As an adult learner, I had my doubts that someone so young would be able to teach me. Instead, through Celeste’s patient guidance I am finally becoming the fiddler I would like to be! Celeste’s teaching techniques are very direct and clear. She provides useful feedback and customized guidance to improve technical abilities, plus her playing is simply inspiring. Celeste provides guitar accompaniments for all the tunes she teaches which is very helpful for efficiently and effectively practicing a tune. I highly recommend Celeste for anyone who wishes to improve their fiddling skills at whatever their level. She’s super fun, exceptionally attentive, as well as an extremely motivating instructor.

Celeste has been teaching my son for half of his life since he was 6 years old. By then he had already tried 6 other teachers. It can take a lot of effort and time finding the right connection and once we discovered Celeste we knew she was the perfect fit. He's now almost 13 and still excited to work with her every week. She's taught him how to be a well-rounded, independent learner and constantly develops his creativity. Celeste is kind, very patient, and knowledgeable with a lifetime of experience in fiddle music. She continues to challenge my son ensuring he meet his fullest potential as a musician and building confidence in him. We've already had Celeste commit to working with him well into her 90s and couldn't be happier to have found such an incredible teacher!
