Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. My style of work is very journalistic, I'm unobtrusive and make sure that my couples enjoy their day instead of posing for photos every few minutes. Be sure to ask your photographer what their approach is to photographing the day. You want to make sure that you actually enjoy the day AND the photos later.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Love the work of the photographer you hire. Love the photographer too! They will be with you throughout your entire wedding day. Also, be sure check out reviews from their previous clients.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Do you have backup equipment?
Do you have a backup plan in-case something happens to you?

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Realize that the photographs are the one thing that you get to keep forever (apart from your man and your ring). You don't have to spend a specific percentage of your budget on your photographer. Spend money on the things that are the most important to you.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. My background is in journalism, so I truly shoot in a journalistic fashion. I make sure that couples enjoy their wedding day and don't spend it posing for photos. I work around the edges snapping beautiful photos of all of the little moments that you would have forgotten in just a few months. I use every bit of my personality to make sure you feel comfortable even during "portrait" time. All of this effort shows in the real emotions that are obvious when you look at my photographs.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. My pricing system is actually fairly easy. When at all possible, I like to meet with clients before they book. I get a feel for what kind of coverage is most important to them, whether it is getting ready, cocktail hour, the ceremony or the dance party at the end. I work with them to find a way to get the coverage they want within the budget they present to me.
