Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Definately look for someone you get along with, an initial consult is a must. You may love a photographers work and find out you can't stand their personality, or attitude.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. There are alot of markups associated with the wedding photography business. Photographers like to make as much money as they can off one commision. The truth is, if you have the images given to you, you can get prints and make albums for a fraction of the cost.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. My work is clean, fresh, and organic. I do very minimal editing, relying instead on a good eye, and a great camera.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I like being a part of someones big day. There is so much love and emotion wrapped up in your wedding day, and I love being able to capture that in a picture you can cherish for a lifetime.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. I often get asked how many pictures I take and how many a client will receive.
My answer- I take between 1200 and 3000 images. The client will receive between 120-400. Clients will NOT receive every image, that is not common practice among Photographers. Not all 1200 pictures are keepers... it is my job to edit through and pick only the very best to give to the client.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. Even the best photographers take pictures they don't like, not every picture is gold. And when we take pictures for family, when its just fluff, we don't always take good ones with our professional camera. It's easier to tote around a camera phone than a digital SLR and all the equipment!
