Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. While basic corporate apparel and event wear is the bread and butter... Band and major event shirts, Sports jerseys, school spirit wear, Family reunion shirts. Clubs, bars.. any place that wants to promote itself.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. always ask for actual samples of their work.. Don't get sold on the cheapest price... we get so many customers asking if we print over mistakes like bad color, bad printing.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Custom t-shirts with High quality graphics and illustration cost the same amount and sometimes less the the little franchise store fronts charge for " your Logo here" text and clip art!

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Quantity is everything. Know that a printer should give you price breaks at certain quantities.. pricing is based on number of colors of ink and number of placements on the garment.. Embroidery is priced by the number of Stitches in the design.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Clearly our work speaks for itself. View our website and decide for yourself.. We offer Cutting edge graphic design and technical color separation techniques that have clients seeking us out when their screen printer tells them the job can't be done.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Everything. The best part is getting such great reviews and Kudos from our clients.. We really do put the "wow" into Custom printed garments and tee shirts.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Can they order Custom t-shirts with artwork or photos they have created. The answer is " YES" that's what ewe do.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. Yes, While in Hawaii a store owner tried to sell me a shirt I had designed and printed as Hand painted... It was using a pastel fine art computer program.. :-P

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. Printed items are only as good as the original art. While computers are great and making graphics... there is a major difference between a professional Computer graphic and an Image created on the computer.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I'd allays been doing art and design. Printed tee shirts offer a greater creative array of design then printed cards, signs and post cards or flayers. I get to Illustrate some of the most amazing ideas and concepts.. Like sharks doing the backstroke!

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. Really, there is not a single one.. We don't send out any jobs or work that we are not extremely proud of.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Absolutely.. we attend trade shows and fashion apparel shows to keep up both on the latest Fashion trends as well as screen print reproduction techniques and materials being developed. we stay current with software as well.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. Direct Digital garment imaging is the latest trend. Please see our blogs concerning these developments.

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. Mu current job is recreating the artwork for Colorado souvenir table clothes from the 1950/s. There are all most a hundred Illustrations. it is about ten hour of art.. but we are printing 10000 pieces so that cast becomes pennies per piece.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. I do... research the industry and the market. Visit screen printers and ask them about the equipment.. Don't get sold on new technologies based on what a sales person tells you. Competition is tight and profits are small.
