I have been a Graphic Designer for over 6 years. I have been responsible for the full-life-cycle of design including prototyping, story-boarding, custom graphic creation and the maintenance of standards. I have guided many projects from start to finish working directly with clients.
I enjoy working with people and have lots of experience in a variety of areas. I love being creative and making my clients happy.
I have experience in both print and web graphics.
Question and answer
Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. My most common types of jobs are branding and marketing materials. I also am moving into the web so I do graphics and advertising for the web.
Q. Describe three recent jobs you've completed.
A. Last three jobs I have completed are one non for profit poster for Mission Wear which is an organization that helps woman transition from jail or prostitution into normal life by learning a trade. Second job was business cards for an ongoing client and my third completed job was CU Denver Development work on the School of Medicine Website.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Make sure they are laid back and not the type of person who takes things too seriously. If you are afraid to tell them what you think that is not good.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I think I am different from the rest because I know my strengths and weaknesses in design and can use that to maximize my creative ability. I always have new and innovative ideas and can also make them come to life. The best of both worlds!
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I love working with others to create something that will bring more business as well as build a brand. I think collaboration is very important as well as building working relationships.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I have always been an artist and painter. Since you cannot make a living doing that I thought that going into technology that combines both my love of creation and art would be the best choice. Turns out I love it!
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. I am taking my second continuing education class at The Art Institute of Colorado called Advanced Web Development and Design. I enjoy learning and in this field you have to be up to date on current web trends as well as design trends/standards.
Q. What is your greatest strength?
A. My greatest strength is in my communication skills as well as coming up with designs that are creative and engaging as well as simple.
