The question isn't whether you need a web presence but rather what kind of web presence!

I design and develop original websites that are artistic and unique yet are affordable, professional, and effective, for small organizations and businesses. I can help you achieve your web goals and help you communicate those goals effectively to your web audience. I'd also be happy to help modify your existing website.

Question and answer

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Judi is all one could ask for in a web designer: she offers a personal touch, an exquisite sense of beauty, a responsiveness to the needs of the customer, and affordability. She is easy to work with, creative, thoughtful, open-minded, and an excellent communicator. She is highly recommended.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love working with my clients - they usually have their own businesses and are entrepreneurial, and interesting. I love solving a client's problem. Also, I love the creative part of my job and making a beautiful design that fits my client's needs.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How long will a new website take to build? Depends, could be a week to two months or more depending on the complexity and the client's input. The client and I work together, sharing information, discussing the next step, etc.

How much does it cost? It depends on the features, the number of pages, the complexity of the design, whether there is a database, and whether programming is involved. For a small website, anywhere from $800 to $2000, usually.

How much is the upkeep? Usually quite inexpensive: hosting runs around $7-$10 per month, and domain name is around $10/year. If you want changes to your website, you pay an hourly fee for that.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. It's important to know that you are being heard, and that your web professional will really take all that you say and show her/him seriously. You never want to get stuck in something that you don't understand - you should feel comfortable that your designer/developer is flexible and can explain what is going on at all times.

Also look for experience, professionalism, and creativity.
