Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I don't rush my work. My work must be done right and done beautifully. The work should last a long time and in addition the work must be the right choice for the customer. If the work is a bad choice for the customer I will recommend it not be done. I am interested in a client who is happy with the results and as such will recommend me to others.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. My work is a form of artistic expression. I have a degree in fine arts and I suppose this is the way I satisfy my artistic drive. The profession gives me the opportunity to meet interesting people, to travel, and is a constant challenge. Some of my customers have become life long friends and I am always in turn given the opportunity to learn from them. I also appreciate the faith customers put in me and the results I promise them. It is a rush when that faith is proven out and the customer is pleased.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. When the job is clarified, designed, bid and scheduled, the most common questions asked concern how soon the work will be completed and to a less extent how will the work effect their on-going household routine. I try to be honest concerning the time involved but I always explain that the work is custom and creative so some leeway must be allowed whereas the emphasis must be on quality as opposed to speed. I also explain that I will work around and be considerate of the household routine but that if I foresee my work interfering with the routine I will give as much warning as possible so that the family can adjust to and work around that particular phase of the job.
