I have been training kung fu for over 25 years and have taught in a variety of contexts since 2003. I would be honored to work with you to help fulfill your potential. Miles is a gifted, humble and kind martial arts instructor, sensitive to the true needs of his clients. His approach is trauma informed, which is unheard of in the martial arts world in my experience. Rigid hierarchy, common in the realm of traditional martial arts, is eschewed for a humanistic and welcoming dynamic while not losing sight of the essence of what is being taught. Working with Miles has been incredibly enjoyable and healing for me.

I have been studying under this instructor, and White Lotus Academy, for a time now. While the instructor has a long proven record with traditional southern Chinese martial arts, he trains and attends classes and seminars from other teachers of varying styles to bring both well rounded, and effective techniques to his students, regardless of origin. Miles does not have a "one size fits all" teaching method, and has trained people of all ages, shapes, sizes, and conditions. He continually tries to expand his own knowledge base, and encourages his students to do the same. The student base ranges from kids looking for acrobatic Wushu techniques, to adults entering the world of professional fighting, to people in between just looking for a fun workout. Whether you're new to martial arts, or if you're experienced and looking for new techniques and training to add to your routine, I'd highly recommend the White Lotus Academy.

Miles is the real deal. He is a compassionate teacher who listens to his students and is able to guide them through a journey of personal growth through movement. 10/5 stars. You will not be disappointed!
