Truth Photography is a privately owned portrait photography company based in Westminster Colorado. We are not a studio, we shoot completely on location in your home or favorite park, open space, or even location in the city. This allows us to give each client a completely unique portrait experience based on their unique personality.
We specialize in all types of family portraiture from the time you begin to dream about your future family at your engagement all the way until your children are preparing for college with senior portraits. We even offer pet sessions.
We use a mixture of Photographic styles including traditional portraiture, photojournalism, contemporary photography, and candid shots. Our aim is to create portraits that capture your families distinctive personality and that you will cherish for a lifetime.
Our goal is not just to capture a great portrait but to create a work of art. After using a mixture of photographic styles to best capture you or your family we carefully select the best images to be edited, color corrected and made into the finished work of art. In addition to the full color images each client will receive a selection of specialty images in high contrast black and white, sepia, or antique finish.
With us you receive one of a kind custom portraits at an affordable price, and the best part is every client will receive a copyright release for printing their portraits and sharing them online.

Jen and Adrian have been out photographers for about 4 years. I have always been pleased with the photos we have received. Jen and Adrian have always put customer satisfaction first. My suggestions are always welcome and not request has been too much to ask. My children have had their photos for every occasion taken sports, maternity, classic you name it they have provided top of the line photos for my family. The quality is consistent and the cost is affordable and competitive. You will not be disappointed if you choose Jen and Adrian to photograph your occasion.

Jennifer and Adrian are great with kids. Clearly, they are very comfortable with babies and children. They managed to get our toddler's attention without scaring our baby. They were very patient which made the session very pleasant. When our toddler needed a break from posing, they kept shooting and caught some great candid shots. They really know what they are talking about when it comes to timing and locations for photo shoots. Not only did they recommend a beautiful location, Jennifer and Adrian brought a few props. About a month prior to working with Truth Photography, our family had pictures done at a department store because I thought on-location photography would be too expensive. As it turns out, I was wrong. Jennifer was able to capture more natural images that show my family's personalities at a perfectly reasonable price, and she didn't make the baby cry. If you want fun family photos, Jennifer and Adrian can make it happen.

Question and answer
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Ask your photographer questions. Why they became a photographer, how or were where they trained, what do the consider their specialty, why do they love their job. You want to look for three things in a photographer, someone with actual training, either on the job or college training, someone who has passion for what they are doing, and someone who you believe you would enjoy spending time around.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. Unlike many photographers who work mainly with adults or who trained with adults my training and work has focused on kids. I have 3 years experience in working almost solely with children and families with small children. Because of this I work hard to get smiles from children I am photographing. I know what makes children in different age groups laugh and smile and I take my time to get those smiles.
Also unlike having your pictures done in a studio with me you will alway get a unique portrait. In a studio the photographers use the same background over and over, they are trained to repeat the same poses. With me every client receives unique portraits and no two sessions are alike.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. We love capturing that perfect moment and creating sometime beautiful. It is the greatest feeling in the world when a new mother tells us about how much they love their babies first portraits because I know that those memories will be preserved and cherished long after the child is grown. We always enjoy meeting new people, and it is great when a previous customer hires us again and we can really get to know them.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Customers commonly ask me: What is the best thing to wear for portraits? Choose something that you like the way you look in. For the best portraits choose outfits that are comfortable and coordinate with the others in your group. Choose solid colors or simple patterns, avoid loud patterns as they can take away from the people in the portrait. Need some ideas? Try something simple like everyone in jeans with either black or white shirts, different shades of the same color, or have everyone wear a solid color shirt in a different color. For small children it is important to choose an outfit that fits well.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. I love to get to know my customers. I would want them to know that I want to get to know them so that I can put as much of their personality into their portraits as possible.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. We are always looking for new ideas for poses and locations. We spend hours looking through portraits to find new ideas and to study techniques used by other photographers. We receive several weekly emails with new photography ideas and techniques and with the latest photography news. We also often compare our pricing to other local photographers. We want to make sure that we are giving the best deals possible so that those that may not be able to afford some other professional photographers can still have beautiful portraits. In addition Adrian is also currently studying Photojournalism at Metropolitan State College of Denver.
Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?
A. I would recommend doing a lot of research and really making sure you know your profession. Many people now think that they can buy a nice digital camera and market themselves as a professional photographer. I would tell them that there is a lot more to it then having a nice camera and knowing what button to push.
