I have been getting massages from Angie for 5 years now and can easily say that she is the best therapist I have ever been to. She is totally intuitive with her wonderful touch and can just tell where to work on me without me even mentioning stiff neck or lower back pains. For what its worth - I don't think a person could go wrong with Angie and her wonderful therapuetic care.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. I believe the more experience a massage therapist has, the better it is for the both of you! I myself have been in the profession for over 9 years, and I can say I give a much better massage today then I did when I had first started. I am more confident in myself in my profession and I believe my clients feel very comfortable, trusting me to take the best care of them. I get people who come to me for a massage for their first time, I get people of all ages/race/gender. If you're looking for a cheap massage, you most likely won't get the quality you deserve or seek. Go with your instincts and check around. Don't be afraid to try a few different places, like spas, health clubs, as well as private practices like the one I work out of. That way you can find one that works best for you to suit your needs! First time customer discounts, like mine, are always a good way to take advantage of a massage at a lower price, to see if you like a place and the massage therapist.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I practice out of a private office. It gives me a better chance to get to know my clientele one on one. It also makes it more comfortable and convenient for the both of us to get the desired results without the rush of a busy setting. I have had 2 previous lower back surgeries, as well as whip lash, headaches and other injuries, so I can relate to a lot of my customers aches and pains. I feel I am very intuitive and love giving massage.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I like the chance to give people the quality time they deserve to relax and take time out of their busy lives. I believe that most people never take the time they really need to spend healing mentally and physically. I love being there to give them that time to let go!

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. I think the most common question I get asked is what type of massage I give. My style I most commonly use is a mix of swedish style massage, deep tissue massage and stretching techniques. It gives it a well rounded over-all feel to the session and the best results. I work with everyone to suit their needs and preferences.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I have always felt that the power of touch has given me so much throughout my life. From the time we are born, we are nurtured and touched, learning that it feels good to have that connection with another human being. On our journey through life we may practice sports, get injured, need to reduce stress, or need help with other issues that massage may help with. I had my 1st massage(not professional) when I was 15. I was completely addicted to them after that experience. I thought...How can it feel so good?? It took all my worries away & seemed to relax me so much! I had traded massage with friends on a regular basis & finally decided to go to school & begin practicing massage professionally. I am very glad to be a massage therapist and am highly rewarded with my time healing and connecting with others!

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. For someone getting into this profession, I would have to say that it requires a good bit of energy every day, as well as physical strength. Having a healthy diet & getting regular exercise is vital to staying on top of your career & feeling your best! Taking time to stretch out & getting massage yourself are really important. Balance is key to doing what you love in any career. There are many opportunities in the massage therapy field. After almost 4 years of working for other businesses, I was able to open up my own private practice. It gives me flexibility in my schedule and it's definitely nice to be your own boss!

Q. What is your greatest strength?

A. I believe my greatest strength is my passion for life. I love and accept the natural and unnatural things around us and can't wait for my next experience. I believe my positive attitude and energy shines through into my work as well!
