Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Voice lessons, audition preparation and tips along with performance oriented activities. Also, recently stage speech preparation for live radio and convention presentations in professional settings.
My voice lessons and coaching are oriented toward ages 14-plus, high school and college level and adult students. I do not teach children under 14 years as they would benefit most by learning to play an instrument, such as the violin and piano, to develop their music skills and/or participate in choir/choral activities.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Do your research & do not expect music professionals to be amateurs in the music business.
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. Do they read music? Are they ready to make a genuine commitment? It is important for the voice student to have these questions worked out before starting voice lessons in order to get the most from the lesson. A three month commitment is necessary for geniune progress. Takes at least 8-10 weeks to change and improve any activity and develop new skills. What are your goals: tone development, pitch control, increasing vocal range, correcting breathing technique, expressive singing, stylistic techniques, English pronunciation and diction?
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. My background includes both national and international performance credits as well as teaching experience. In addition to technical vocal instruction, I offer vocal repertoire coaching and audition tips to singers. Many of my current students are reaching their professional goals by showing up prepared for their auditions.
Arvada Center of Arts & Humanities - May 29th, 2014@4:30pm
Ft. Collins vocal studio - June 3rd, 2014@7:30pm
Audition preparation & tips workshops - Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer

for Arvada, Madeline Greeb, accompanist for Ft. Collins.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. Working directly with my clients to achieve their goals. People as like flavors of ice cream, each one is unique.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. My customers are interested in vocal technique and repertoire choices for various musical activities and styles. They are auditioning for parts in organizations which range from community based projects to professional jobs.
My answer is "Let's make it happen".
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. 13 year old voice students need to be learning music fundamental skills in a group situation, like a choir or music camp, not one-on-one intensive voice lessons with a professional.
IT'S A PHYSICAL THING: The young persons' facial structure has not fully developed at that age or younger, not to mention their body.. no matter how mature or advanced for their age that parents feel their child might be~
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. Music is a passion rather than a decision to participate. In my case, as far back as I can remember I sang and played the pianoforte. There is a photo of myself sitting at the keyboard, legs barely dangling over the side of the bench with my fingers on the keyboard and my mouth open singing....I was one years old.
Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

Voice studio singers from the Arvada studio will perform their pieces with a professional accompanist.
Q. What are you currently working on improving?
A. Upgrading technical ability to record student's voice lessons with new ZOOM H4n digital recorder.
Requested voice lesson recordings will be sent to students with MP3 file format.
Q. Write your own question and answer it.
A. Do you recommend voice lessons for children under the age of 14?
They can benefit best by taking piano or string instrument lessons and learn music fundamentals before taking private voice lessons. Choir experience is also suggested.
Children under 14: 2014 SUMMER TIME SESSION ONLY if time allows~ Half hour lessons are recommended unless other performance skills are included such as monologue preparation, stage presence and music skills training. Vocal skills such as breathing, resonance and diction are touched upon lightly.
