Lauri was wonderful, she officiated a beautiful ceremony and her words were poetic, concise, impactful, and her guidance throughout the process was nothing short of great. I wish I could say that I would have her officiate my next wedding, but that would imply the worst! If you want someone who really cares and understands, then she is perfect for your ceremony.

We are so so grateful to have had Lauri perform our wedding ceremony! Leading up to the big day she worked closely with us to craft a ceremony that was both meaningful and personalized. Lauri made it clear from the beginning that she wanted our ceremony to be our ceremony. With every draft of the ceremony she took our feedback and made tweaks and adjustments to make it absolutely perfect! Her careful attention to detail and true investment in us and our special day was clear in every step along the way. She also has so many supports for helping her couples write their own vows. While my husband took her advice and ran with it, it was helpful for me to have the clear outlines, examples, and prompts she sent us to guide me through mine! On our wedding day it was such a comfort to have an officiate we had gotten to know so well. Lauri helped make our ceremony a warm and loving experience. My husband is Jewish and I am Catholic. Neither of us our very spiritual so Lauri helped craft a ceremony that focused on the love we had for each other and our two dogs😊 She is responsive, friendly, and a joy to work with! She even accommodated a day-of change when my father-in-law asked us to do the glass breaking ceremony last minute. She is wonderful and I highly recommend.

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My base fee covers creation and delivery of a customized ceremony within a 50 mile radius of New Haven. Three meetings/three drafts and a final ceremony are included! Additional fees include travel outside the 50 mile radius, travel to New York/Mass/RI and/or attendance at a rehearsel. After meeting with you, I will provide a final contract price.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I encourage my potential clients to book an exploratory call with me! Let's see if we are a fit by getting more information about what you are looking for in your ceremony, how I view the wedding ceremony and anything else to help you make your decision.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended a two year interfaith/interspritual (spiritual but not religious) seminary in New York, One Spirit Seminary. At the end of the two year program, which included studying all the major faith traditions, designing my life of service as a minister and all the things about ceremonies, I was ordained in June, 2019. I continued on to complete another two programs at One Spirit, Companions in Care and Interspiritual Counseling to continue my training in spiritual direction.
