Hartford Underground Swing

Introduction: Hartford Underground, a subsidy of Connecticut Swing Dance Society, is a group of enthusiastic swing dancers who provide the opportunity for vintage swing dancing in the Greater Hartford area. We offer a weekly dance at Polish National Home on Thursdays 8:30-11pm with a monthly series on various swing styles from 7-8pm and a brief 30-minute drop-in intro swing dance lesson. We’re also adding a 30 minute Intermediate/Advanced Lesson and Practice Session from 8:00pm to 8:30pm on Thursdays! Our seasoned teachers and community provide a comfortable and friendly environment in which to learn. We love getting people excited about traditional jazz and using modern influences to create new things in this old form. When we can get folks comfortable dancing to Fats Waller and Justin Timberlake it makes appreciate why we teach.
