What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. In order to maintain my certification as a Practitioner, Instructor and Mentor of Healing Touch Program I am required to have continuing education courses each year. I also teach Healing Touch and mentor students that would like to become certified practitioners so I am constantly reading and taking courses to be able impart knowledge to my students and mentees as well as my clients.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When looking for an energy therapist one should ask how much professional training and what professional assocations the practitioner has. Is the practitioner guided by a professional Code of Ethics and Standard of Practice. Do they have a consent form which clearly states what is to be expected? Does the practitioner have insurance? Most importantly how does the practitioner make you feel. Are you comfortable with them? Are they giving you their undivide attention? Do they have a caring and compassionate demeanor? Do you feel you are in good hands? Do they inspire confidence that they can help you?
