Serving Connecticut, Zhihong Shang is a licensed acupuncturist and nationally board-certified Diplomate of Oriental Medicine, recognized by the National Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Ms. Shang was born and raised in China. She studied at the Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where she finished her bachelor's degree in Chinese Medicine. After she came to the US, she enrolled at Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado, where she earned her degree in Master of Science in Oriental Medicine. She has undergone training which encompassed over 3,000 hours of class work in areas namely acupuncture, Western pathology and pharmacology, Chinese herbal medicine, oriental physical therapy and nutrition, and clinical internships. Her background enables her to customize Chinese medical wisdom to the needs of American patients. Zhihong specializes in acupuncture, Chinese herbology, and various other Chinese medical modalities designed towards promoting patients' optimal emotional and physical health.
