Robert did a fantastic job remodeling our bathroom. The tile work he did was top notch and he did a great job with all other aspects of the project including demo, adding a new vanity, tub, and fixtures. He was clean and respectful of our space. I would highly recommend working with Robert.

Very impressed with service provided. Very easy to work with and did quality job. He tiled a bathroom floor and it turned out that the toilet I purchased on line did not fit. So Robert measured all the dimensions and went with me to home depot to purchase another one. He installed it and the job was done. I don’t think most contractors would have done that so we were happy with the extra effort. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

I wish I took the before pictures of the shower. It looks so beautiful now, I had a leaking problem, out dated tiles and and vanity. He gave me a reasonable estimate to change everything. Am glad I chose to work with him. Even after the demolition, he saw some surprises, but never changed his price. Thank you so much JOZEF IMPROVEMENT . I am going to do my second project with this pro.

I am wary about relying on reviews from homeowners because most homeowners are happy with their contractors if the contractor is on time, polite, pleasant, and the final job looks good. They have no idea if their contractor followed manufacturer’s instructions during installing or they have actually done the work correctly. They have no idea what is lurking behind those beautiful tiles. Is the bathroom going to last more than a few years? Are the tiles going to crack in a few years? After getting burnt by two contractors (with great reviews) I decided to proceed with my project only after finding someone really competent. Jozef Improvements exceeded all my high expectations! I agree with all the great reviews here and want add a few points not covered in the other reviews.
Nowadays everyone does foam showers. This is not a bad thing, any average tile setter can build a shower for you in a few days. It has become so pervasive that most setters only build schluter/wedi showers. They have forgotten or have never ever built mud showers before. In my opinion if a tile setter cannot build you a mortar shower, it means he is not very good or doesn’t have much experience. A good tile setter shouldn’t be afraid of playing with mud a little. Robert is one of very few contractors around here who can build a solid old fashioned mortar shower with liner. Such showers if built correctly, can last 40 years.
I will not get into the details of the mortar shower build, but suffice to say he built it the correct way. I learned from John Bridge forums how a mortar shower should be built and he built it exactly like that. Please note that this is very hard to find. Most installers do not follow the process correctly.
With respect to the tile work, I agree with all the reviewers that praised his attention to detail. He really brought my beautiful Italian tiles to life with his skill. The tiles were a little hard to work with as they were cut from bigger tiles but even then he achieved a flat smooth finish. The transitions around the niche were perfectly done. The tiles were centered on the wall. He later mentioned that in commercial jobs tiles aren’t usually centered but for homes, it is a nicer look. He truly does care about doing a good job.
I noticed several nice touches such as extra waterproofing around the water inlets, using nicer quality boards behind the tiles. Further proof of his integrity and natural disposition to do the job the right away. He could easily have not done all that and saved time and his money.
It is clear that he has built 1000s of showers in his career thus far. You definitely want to hire him or someone like him for your next shower project. You can give him your requirements and rest easy because he will do the job correctly and well. Talk to him today about your project!

Robert responded and came to give us a quote within 48 hours. His prices were beyond reasonable. He was able to completely gut, tile and remodel our entire bathroom within a week all as a one man show. He was very patient with us as new homeowners who had a terrible habit of buying the wrong part for just about everything and would answer our questions through the app as we shopped. We did pick out and supply all our own tiles and fixtures but Robert supplied our grout, drywall and subfloors. He even got rid of our ant colony we discovered living in the walls! Book him while you can.
