Mr V. helped our daughter with geometry as a high school sophomore. She had difficulty with her teacher's methods - bright kid, but just didn't connect no matter how she tried. After two sessions with Mr. V., things just clicked for her and she improved her test scores immediately. Sometimes all it takes is someone who can listen one-on-one and help with the disconnect. Mr. V. is that guy. This online method is fantastic - it's like having him in your living room with real conversation. Mr. V. proofed to be very intuitive and could assess immediately how to better explain the theory and methods of the subject. I highly recommend giving him a try. Don't struggle anymore!

Terry Vannoy was really helpful when it came to tutoring me in math. We worked on PreCal homework problems over the internet, I had told him what we were working on during our class for the week and he showed me how to work the problems that I had difficulty with. The sessions that I had with Terry were an hour long for one day a week. I really enjoyed that I got to work with him one on one and showing me different ways of working out some problems that my teacher had not shown us in class. There is always more than one way to solve a math problem. It made more sense because I would go into the class and understand what we were talking about and not get so confused. Honestly, I would not change a thing about the sessions that we had together, he was a great help overall and I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is having problems with a math class.

This student and I worked live together online during the mornings and early afternoons. She connected with me from campus and student study areas. It worked great!

Math has never really been a struggle for me, but Sophomore year that changed. I had a teacher that failed to connect with the students, and had a teaching style that many weren't able to work with. I began to fall behind. However, I heard about this online tutoring, and in no time I caught up. Mr. V takes the time to understand the student and puts their weakness into terms that the individual can see clearly. What separates Mr. V's teaching style from many others, is the way his changes to best fit each individual. It's really beneficial and I would recommend Mr. V to any student with any math related struggle.

This high school student is very typical of a smart but self-doubting person, just not getting the way the classroom teacher was explaining things. I used her textbook and class materials for the basis of our lessons, and was able to show her different ways of understanding (using visual models and diagram strategies).

As someone looking to gain math teaching certification in CT, I reached out to Terry V to help me on some issues that I was having with math, particularly in the area of lesson planning to teach about permutations and combinations. I found Terry V's online tutoring to be very helpful, and I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone else who might be looking for some online math tutoring.

This student is also a math tutor (face-to-face) and needed some support in his education training classes. We worked together to help develop lesson plans in teaching certain probability lessons for his college class.
